Gluten Free Churro Poppers

These gluten-free churro poppers are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with a delightful cinnamon-sugar coating. Perfect for snacking or as a sweet treat!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup vegan butter
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sugar for coating
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon for coating
  • Oil for frying

Instructions:

Put water, vegan butter, sugar, salt, and vanilla extract in a saucepan

Heat it up and bring it to a boil

Turn down the heat and add the gluten-free all-purpose flour

Stir the mixture all the time until it comes together into a dough and starts to pull away from the pan's sides

Put the dough in a piping bag with a star-shaped tip

In a deep fryer or pot with a heavy bottom, heat the oil to 350F 175C

Small pieces of dough can be pushed directly into the hot oil and then cut into small churro poppers with scissors

Fry until golden brown, which should take about two to three minutes

Take out of the oil and let drain on paper towels

In a small bowl, mix cinnamon powder and sugar

Mix the cinnamon and sugar together and roll the churro poppers in it while they are still warm

Enjoy while still warm!
