Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup malted milk powder
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350F 175C
Grease a 9x9 inch baking pan
In a small bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt
Set aside
In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat
Remove from heat and stir in granulated sugar until well combined
Beat in eggs, one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract and malted milk powder
Gradually add the flour mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined
Fold in chocolate chips
Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs
While the brownies are baking, prepare the malted mousse
In a mixing bowl, beat heavy cream until soft peaks form
Gradually add powdered sugar and continue to beat until stiff peaks form
Fold in malted milk powder until well combined
Once brownies are cooled, spread the malted mousse over the top
Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before slicing into squares
