Under Sea Cupcakes



With these beautiful cupcakes, you can make a lovely underwater world. Great for parties with an ocean theme or just to make you feel better with a taste of the sea.

Ingredients:

  • 1 box of vanilla cupcake mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water
  • Blue food coloring
  • 1 cup blue frosting
  • Assorted sea-themed cake toppers sea horses, turtle, starfish, coral, and shells
  • Edible blue glitter optional

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and line a cupcake pan with paper liners

In a mixing bowl, combine the vanilla cupcake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water

Mix until smooth

Add blue food coloring to the cupcake batter until you achieve the desired shade of blue, resembling the sea

Fill each cupcake liner with the blue batter, about 2/3 full

Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into a cupcake comes out clean

Allow the cupcakes to cool completely on a wire rack

Once cooled, frost the cupcakes with the blue frosting, creating a wavy sea-like appearance

Decorate the cupcakes with sea horse, turtle, starfish, coral, and shell-shaped cake toppers to create an undersea scene

If desired, sprinkle edible blue glitter over the cupcakes for a shimmering effect reminiscent of the ocean

Serve and enjoy your undersea cupcakes!
